We welcome Concord current and future members to view Fred Y. McConnell American Legion Post 51 images of Fred Y McConnell’s annual ceremony of his death during WW1. Lt McConnell died on Oct 18, 1918 near St. Souphlet, France and was later laid to rest here in Concord's Oakwood Cemetery.Post 51 honors him as our namesake. We will remember him and his ultimate sacrifice for his country always. Come to the post canteen and view his WW1 Memorial Display.
