We are international consultants in marketing, sales and strategic planning for high
technology companies.
Our Principle, G. Burt Lancaster, has a record of generating multi-million dollar sales and the corresponding high margins both in the U.S. and Internationally. His international client and contact base spans major high technology capital, development, manufacturing, and materials/equipment supply industries. He is an effective and established intermediary for the screening and advancement of strategic alliances for joint marketing, development, manufacturing and service of high technology products.
Mr. Lancaster graduated from the California Maritime Academy (now a campus of the California State University) in Vallejo, California, in 1960. He studied several disciplines of engineering there earning a Bachelor of Sciences degree. More importantly, all of the graduates are taught leadership and were instilled with a sense of performance.
Upon graduation, he went to work for Litton Industries in their electron tube division. During that time Litton and Mr. Lancaster’s group were working on some of the early microwave transistors and other very high frequency devices.
Mr. Lancaster was the “called up” to serve his military duty. He received a direct appointment as a Naval Officer. Because of his specialized and broad training and background, he was posted to a special project in South East Asia. There he was promoted to the position of Chief of Engineering for an entire Task Group. At the age of 21 years, he was one of the youngest officers to hold that high of a position. Mr. Lancaster received several commendations because of his leadership and technical knowledge
Upon returning from his military duty, Mr. Lancaster worked with FMC Corporation’s Research and Development Division. Here he was involved with the development of many new processes that have become commercially important today.
After leaving FMC Corporation, Mr. Lancaster accepted a position with a new company to the Silicon Valley area. This company, Air Products and Chemicals, was just starting to serve the new semiconductor market. Mr. Lancaster developed all the Silicon Valley market for Air Products, and was extremely successful in earning a huge market share for this company that continues until today. He was instrumental in developing many new products and applications for the advanced semiconductors that are being produced today. As the leader of the semiconductor group, Mr. Lancaster opened many new areas and countries outside of Silicon Valley. As the materials, equipment and services were fundamental to the manufacturing of semiconductors, he foresaw that his company could be instrumental in the development of these new areas. He was promoted to Director level and was instrumental in locating and acquiring other companies that are complimented their efforts. At his departure from this firm, the sector had grown from near zero to well over US$ 100 million per year.
Mr. Lancaster spent a short time in the disk drive industry as a consultant in turning around a failing business. This firm recovered and grew to over US$ 30 million and was acquired by a larger firm. Mr. Lancaster then worked on several “turn around” companies in the semiconductor area. All of these were successful and are still doing very well.
In 1991, Mr. Lancaster formed his own firm, consulting to many companies of how to approach the semiconductor and high technology market place. His lectures on the field of high technology and its economics are in demand throughout the world. His consulting clients are extremely positive in their recommendation of Mr. Lancaster. Among his current clients are many security analysts, Wall Street brokerage firms, investors and manufacturers of materials and equipment for the semiconductor industry.
As part of his consulting practice, Mr. Lancaster established an extensive Asian sales, service and manufacturing organization. This group of allied companies did over $300 million in turnover in 1997. His organization is now looking at the European market and has already established an office in France.
In the year 2000 Mr. Lancaster established an LED company in Silicon Valley that had some very high prospects, but due to an embezzlement of funds by another member, this company closed. Then in 2003 Mr. Lancaster co-founded another LED company in Xiamen, China.
Mr. Lancaster’s contacts in the overall semiconductor industry are very wide and include all major countries of the world. He is often sought as a speaker and an expert in international business. He has addressed many universities, governments and scientific institutes around the world. Recently he has addressed the Province of Hainan, China and the Kingdom of Morocco at the invitation of the governments who wish to enter the high tech world. Currently he has established a fiber optic cable plant for the Vietnam government and financial and technical cooperation with the Israel government.
G. Burt Lancaster has been characterized by others as a man with integrity, drive and courage with the ability to see the overall picture and to form a vision of how things could be and how to
make things happen.
