Electronics Maintenance

  1. TV’s, Stereos, and Other Equipment: If a fuse is blown it is a sure sigh that you need a repair. NEVER replace a fuse with a higher amperage fuse, tin foil or other substance. Fuses therefore are your safety.

  2. Keep your TV's, amplifiers and equipment clean, they must be cleaned regularly. TV's and stereos have vents at the top and bottom that must be kept dust free and unobstructed for proper cooling.

  3. Televisions, stereos, and electrical appliances do not last long if they are allowed to overheat. Use in moderation and do not run a TV constantly 24/7.

  4. Amplifiers and stereos need good quality 14ag or heaver Speaker Wire with proper gold connectors, not bare wire.

  5. Speaker; If the foam is rotted out do not operate the speaker(s).

  6. Amplifiers, receivers require good quality home speakers in good working order. Do Not use car speakers for a home stereo.

Appliance Maintenance

Dishwashers:

  1. Change the filters on your dish washer regularly.

  2. Run an empty hot wash cycle once a month with an 8 ounce of bleach and 4 ounce of baking soda once a month. This stops mold and bacteria growth and prevents unneeded service calls.

Refrigerators:

  1. Clean the Freon coils every six months.

  2. Empty drip pan monthly.

  3. Refrigerators have to be bleached out once every six months. Shut unit off and let thaw. Remove all food while the unit is thawing.

NOTE:  When using bleach, we recommend you use rubber gloves and only wear - old white clothes. Then when the refrigerator has thawed, completely wipe the refrigerator inside & outside with 10% bleach water. Let air dry then repack your refrigerator. It helps avoid your food going bad and keeps you and your family from getting sick. Then put an open box of baking soda in the refrigerator section, not the freezer.

Washers:

Run a quart of straight white vinegar and hot water through the washer once a month.Make sure to add vinegar to the softener/raise cycle.

Dryers:

  1. They build up lint. Remove exhaust pipe and vacuum out. If you see any water in the pipe, unplug and call for service immediately.

  2. Clean lint trap regularly with a vacuum cleaner

Stoves:

  1. Make sure to wipe them down. Keep them clean.

  2. Run the cleaning cycle on the oven once a month if it has one or use oven cleaner on non-self-cleaning ovens only.
