The Creative Curriculum for Preschool is based on five fundamental principles.
Positive interactions and relationships with adults provide a critical foundation for successful learning.
Social-emotional competence is a significant factor in school success.
Constructive, purposeful play supports essential learning.
The physical environment affects the type and quality of learning interactions.
- Teacher-family partnerships promote developmental learning.
Our preschool teachers provide a safe and healthy environment that aids our children in developing their socio-emotional, fine and gross motor, language and literacy, mathematical and cognitive skills. The teachers guide the children to engage in studies that challenge them to question the processes of daily life and encourage questions, responses, and conversations with their peers. To promote language further, teachers guide the students to work on back and forth exchanges with their peers during daily circle time and small group activities. Our preschoolers also love to dance, and take pride in their gross motor abilities by dancing to the ‘Hokey-Pokey’ or playing games involving jumping, bouncing, running and clapping.
