FAQ

Our most frequently asked questions!

How can I contact you to schedule an appointment?

Please call us to schedule an appointment or simply to ask questions and find out more information.  We answer our own telephone calls and all calls are confidential.  If we are not available to answer the phone when you call, please feel free to leave a message on our confidential voicemail.  One of us will be sure to return your call as soon as possible, usually within 24 hours or the next business day.

What is Cognitive Behavior Therapy and how is it different from other types of therapy?

Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) focuses on the role of thinking in how we feel and what we do.  It stresses that thoughts, rather than people or events, cause our negative feelings.  This type of therapy is different because it is collaborative, structured, short term, and focused on the present time.
