In memory of Moe "Big Daddy" Jordan“I’m Moe ‘Big Daddy’ Jordan and I have been offering beautifully designed tattoos for over 20 years. Both my father and grandfather dabbled in the vocation and it was this, watching my family develop and hone their skills, which got me interested in perfecting my own techniques. Remembering back to my childhood, I used to watch my dad and granddad tattooing friends on the back porch. As kids, we weren't normally allowed to watch; however, sometimes I would sneak a peek through the storm door. I took a serious interest in tattooing after I received my own first tattoo, and since then I have been hooked!
In the early days, I didn't really mind the types of tattoo I was creating; however, now I’m a little pickier. Tattoos are with someone for life, and so I am unwilling to do gang symbols, hate-related artwork, or racist tattoos. I enjoy creating just about any type of custom tattoo and absolutely love the challenge of designing something unique that truly represents who the client is. Family has always been a big part of Big Daddy's Tattoos, and it shows with the work we do and the atmosphere we've created. I have the loving support of my wife and seven children - 5 girls and 2 boys; they keep me inspired to do what I love. My youngest daughter Bobbie just completed her own apprenticeship for body piercing. We run our studio as a place where you can bring your children while you receive your tattoo or body piercing. We are all very close and consider ourselves one big, happy family. |

"Since I was in high school I dreamed of being a tattoo artist. To me it seemed unreal, like the chances of becoming a tattoo artist was equivalent to becoming Hugh Hefner. My family has always been very supportive of what I want to do in life. I’ve always worked my butt off supporting my family. So, one day I decided to try and put all my hard work towards something I can be proud of. Art has always been one of my biggest passions so I called Big Daddy’s Tattoos. I set up an appointment to talk with Moe. It led to multiple conversations over about five months. Finally, I was given an opportunity of a life time. Through the struggles of getting on hours through the health department Jimi gave me a chance to apprentice under him. I can’t thank him enough for the opportunity he has given me. I appreciate it more and more every day. Jimi, Moe, and all the guys from the shop have allowed me to chase my dream. Now I am going down a career path I can be proud of at Big Daddy’s Tattoos."
