Paul Phillips was selected to replace Tony DalSasso in April as the Chief Engineer for the Air Force’s Simulators Program Office. He is now in his 10th year with the organization and has held various positions, including both Lead and Supervisory Engineer for tanker training systems and the Chief Engineer for Live Virtual and Constructive Training. Prior to joining the government he worked briefly for Booz Allen Hamilton following his retirement from a 20 year active duty career in the Air Force, spent primarily as a B-1 bomber instructor pilot at both the B-1 primary Flight Training Unit and the more advanced USAF Weapons School. He won honors as the “Top Instructor Pilot” at both schools. He also served as a KC-135 pilot and was an operationally qualified pilot in both the T-37 and T-38. He holds several FAA ratings including Airline Transport Pilot, Instrument, Multi and Single Engine, and is a Certified Flight Instructor. Paul obtained a bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering from The Ohio State University, a master’s degree in Organizational Management from Abilene Christian University, a second master’s degree from The Eisenhower School in National Security Strategy, a law degree from Regent University, and is a licensed Ohio attorney.
